shout out to that guy who ran up on one and stuck a grenade to it halo style
Palestine
A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.
Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.
Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.
We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.
Truly heroic shit. But racism will prevent many from seeing it that way.
Supposedly one of the most cutting edge militaries in the world and they just deploy armor with no infantry support whatsoever.
Regardless, guy had a bravery I could only aspire to, going toe-to-toe with a tank and winning.
Tanks are supposed to be escorted with infantry so this doesnt happen 😂
Veteran Israeli war correspondent Ron Ben-Yishai claimed that "in almost any ground battle, the moment our troops encountered resistance, the force's progress stopped, commanders demanded assistance, and the fighting focused on evacuating casualties from the battlefield... you will not find even one story about a force that fought until it completed its mission or a Hezbollah force that was defeated."
Because Zionist soldiers are cowards.
it's too hottttt i dont wanna go outside where there is hamas and no ac :*****
After reading that whole page I am fully convinced that whatever happens in Gaza, Isreal is fucked.
Their enemies are supposed to cower in fright at their advanced technology and immediately surrender. Nobody told them they would have to actually learn how to use the equipment they were given.

It's a stickybomb, like the molotov it's an improvised explosive going back to ww2 usually a grenade or dynamite inside of a greased sock to make it stick to tanks.
Tanks in Gaza. What absolute morons. The IOF are going to learn a costly lesson, this could really cause something like a coup.
Tanks is the only thing they can do, soldiers don't want to be sent to Gaza so they give them the illusion of safety behind armor.
Saw the video that Hamas published recently of one of their fighters ambushing two Merkavas without a single IOF infantryman in sight. It's extremely unlikely that the tanks outran the infantry in a place like Gaza, so it's got to be either incompetence or cowardly infantry refusing to cover the tanks.
Apparently their doctrine is not to send infantry along the tanks
This is what happens when you write doctrine assuming your opponents are children with rocks.
Nowhere better for a tank than a dense urban center with narrow streets, tight corners, and countless spots suitable for close-range ambushes
knows less about military tactics than you'd learn playing Panzer Corps for an hour
thats why theyre leveling the whole place with nulldozers. remove all cover, all trees, everything
One less murder box in the world is a great thing. Hope there are more.
Christ, I just checked and Israel has 2,200 tanks by conservative estimates... This is going to take a while. At this rate, Gaza will be gone before they've used up all their tanks.
They could have a million tanks and it wont mean anything without people to put them in though, comptent tank crews are hard to come by; Ukraine is learning this.
I think even that can turn to the resistance's advantage: Gaza is tiny, the more wrecked tanks block the streets the harder it will be for the occupiers to send in new ones.
Not to mention all those tank parts, all that armor, weaponry and ammo sitting there for the taking...
Not only that, but they are visual reminders of what happened to those that came before. Must be pretty damaging for morale.
Not all of them are modern models and at some point the attrition rate will increase because of conscript crews of lower quality being put into older models of tank.
Israel will run out of troops first inshallah
How many idf soldiers have been killed? I guess way fewer than the >8000 death Palestinians.
Gazans have nowhere else to go; their fight is a fight for their very existence. How many Israeli conscripts are willing to die in the hell of intense urban warfare before they start refusing to fight or mutinying?
I don't think that there are no idf who just love to kill Palestinians. And with the way better equipment it is sadly not easy for one soldier to murder many many civilians.
I really don't think the civilians have any chance if Israel escalates further.
In a morbid way every IDF death costs Isreal much more than a hamas fighter; not to get reductive over this conflict, because I personally value all human life equally but in terms of war planning this is very much the case.
If you imagine the newest gen of tank (Merkerva) they have for example; it has a trophy system, requires you to be backed up by infantry willing to both provide recon, forward observing and covering fire incase (like we've already seen hamas do) of someone just running up to it with a nade; nevermind just dropping a nade on it with a drone (which we've seen hamas also do)
The cost for hamas to do this is;
1 nade
or
1 nade and a drone;
which is about 2k usd in real terms; if they manage to blow up a modern tank and crew within; thats at least 6 million dollars on just the tank alone; add ammo and crew training and it is just pissed down the drain; they need to go train the specialized crew for that tank for 6 months to a year, replace all that expensive smart ammo and convince those highly educated tank crewmen that this time will be different.
Same applies with any specialized gear; they know that all they are actually good for is reducing gaza to dust; if they want to actually go in (which they will need too) the tech advantage begins to mean less, its how the viet cong won despite using 1950 soviet weapons against a force with fighter jets, tanks and modern military equipment; morale starts factoring in, and with gazans they have put the fear into the rank and file IDF fighter already.
Yeah. One 800$ hamas rockets costs Israel 80k$ for their iron dome equivalent. It is way costlier for them. However, unlike the comment I replied too, I don't think Israel will run out of people.
Maybe they will stop advancing once there are 'too many' casualties. But this will be way fewer than death people in Gaza.
Yeah I agree sadly, the death count is going to be the most depressing aspect to this battle; Its why despite everything a ceasefire ASAP is my current moral position.
