Take B12. :vegan-edge:
Exactly the same kind of concern trolling argument as ”Soy is bad for the environment” or ”Crop deaths tho”.
Agave tho. drinks tequila
This shit is so beside the point though. Like imagine killing someone and wearing their skin to avoid like one one trillionth or whatever of plastic pollution. It's a bonkers argument.
It's so fucking disingenuous because even if you "just" care about emissions or whatever, the pollution from tanning leather is EXTREMELY BAD, much much worse than even plastic. And obviously then you gotta raise and kill a cow for it, which is even more emissions
This is tumblr's main argument why vegans are bad though, like every anti-vegan argument it makes no sense unless you squint and hit yourself on your head a few times while drinking 2 bottles of wine lol
Yeah there's a handful of anti vegan dunks like this where I sometimes feel like I'm the butt of a "no soap, radio!" joke.
Someone says something that they obviously don't believe or haven't thought about very hard like "Oh vegan leather pollution" and they're like opening a single use package. Instead of laughing hysterically at the absurdity bystanders all nod sagely like it was some piercing argument.
