Elden Ring is for you. Just don't listen to what gamers say about how to play. Use every tool they give you and don't be afraid to experiment. Jumping attacks are very powerful and they greatly lessen the need for perfect rolling. Once I got the hang of how the new stats work n junk my build got so strong so fast I just stunlock everything. Magic, ranged, summons, poisons, bleed, freeze, sleep, kiting, knocking things off cliffs - all perfectly valid. It is definitely the best one since DS1.

I would buy a small thing of chicory before you go whole hog. It isn't super expensive but it is extremely bitter. I'm an IPA lord and it was too much for me.

I think about this a lot to the point where I imagine creating a game that like specifically tries to prevent it by any means necessary including just lying to the player.

I also think an anti-speedrun game could be fun possibly.

My policy is to look up as little as possible. If I know I'm missing something obvious and have spent a half hour on it, then I will Google it. Managed to get through most of Elden Ring without spoilers recently.

Edit: also depends on the game I suppose. If I don't really like the game I am more likely to Google.
