in the original post of this story, someone brought up a similar story with amazon and a warehouse in illinois. even cnbc reported on it. they were telling people not to come to work at 7:30PM, the tornado hit the warehouse at 8:27 PM. thats an hour of not sending people home. warehouses get hit by tornadoes constantly, it has the surface area of a hundred thousand houses. justice never comes to the ppl making the decisions to kill for profit tho.

recently inherited these cast irons that are at least 40 years old. they were sitting in a cabinet for a few years and nasty with rust and crusty, old seasoning. i scrubbed the shit out of them with steel wool and lots of soap, then applied 4 coats of new seasoning! feel free to roast my seasoning, i have no idea if it’s good since it’s my first cast iron and would like to know.

for each coat of seasoning i just wiped the pan with peanut oil then set the oven at 435F for 20 minutes, then 460F for 10 minutes

the results of the poll on this post show that modded has won 14-12. we will still ensure that mods are not resource intensive so that our users with low spec computers are able to enjoy the server too! the owner is working with another user with experience with this stuff to make a custom modpack. will update with a post asap! in the meantime, if you havent dm'd me already and want to play, send me a dm w ur MC IGN and ill forward it to the owner.

in the announcement post for this, i lacked critical information regarding the mods. the modpack being used is Create Extra, which appears to be mostly performance, minor aesthetic, and QOL mods. it shouldn’t result in a performance decrease compared to vanilla

a user here was kind enough to host a server for all of hexbear (and lemmygrad too)! ill make an update post when the server is up, but in the meantime, dm me with your MC username bc the server will be using an allow-list. i will be vetting accts to ensure no wreckers join (sorry new users and lurkers, maybe we can figure out an alternate vetting process for you). ill be the middlewoman for the allow-list for optimum opsec, so the server owner will remain anonymous and i won’t share the association between HB usernames/MC username with the owner.

the president mentioned setting up roadblocks bc the company, Energy Fuels, failed to fulfill its promises of notifying the tribe before sending shipments of uranium through their territory. the tribe did not know abt the shipment until the trucks were already gone

i tried getting into ESO like 4 years ago but i got bored, but ive been playing it every day (a lot of the time just logging in for the daily login reward) for like 2 months. i normally hate MMOs but the elders scrolls universe and combat mechanics make me really like it. also the economy is surprisingly not broken after over 10 years of this game existing.

ive been getting into trading to make gold. there are a limited number of traders and each trader can only support one guild which helps limit the number of merchant players. also, every transaction sends 3.5% of the proceeds to the guild and 3.5% goes poof, and this helps prevent inflation. but there are some mats that are crazy expensive. ive been doing alchemy to make money and reagents are normally 100-500 gold each, but columbine is on average 2000-2500 each bc they are a necessary ingredient in a lot of popular pots. anyways, i just spent 1M gold on 600 columbine bc it was a good deal, but i only had 1.2M so im kinda broke until i sell these. it should take less than a week tho and my revenue will be almost 2M (profit is only 350K, but i have most of the reagents already, so ill end the week with 1.7M)

its a fun game! if ur into elder scrolls, get it! there's a bundle for $60 that gets you the base game plus every single expansion. DLC is separate from expansions tho, but if you want to get into trading you have to get ESO+ for the unlimited mat storage. ESO+ comes with all the DLC, so you can buy the $60 base game + expansion packs, then spend at most $15/month on ESO+. i did 3 months so it was $14/month, but when it lapses i might drop $130 for the year (<$11/month) bc i got a bunch of steam gift cards several months back and havent used them all.
