I've thought about that too and it's definitely strange. The toxic things said against it are basically just misinformation. People will post early days recovery pics from stage 1 phallo and say "look how gross that is" without ever considering it's (typically) 2-3 stage surgery and vaginoplasty/ffs don't look great either in early recovery. It's really a shame when it's trans people (in my case and also generally) that buy into this transphobic framing of a gender affirming surgery. Especially when they are supportive of every other gender affirming surgery. I'll never understand it
