I have empathy with the perspective of trans women but I wouldn't feel much on this from personal level. I always factor in other queer experiences when I'm reading something which I can empathise with but don't share the experience. I've never felt like nor wanted to be a woman.
I always have to factor in that I'll be not feeling the same things and maybe missing some points here or there, that's where reading other reviews and takes from a viewpoint that does share that perspective is helpful and helps me understand more.

The montage also includes her and Beth in very sweet, intimate (only like one is sexual lol) moments~ the whole bit where they've carried her to the grave site and dug is quite moving. And saying goodbye to a new friend, forever (not Fran). Read the book, I don't wanna spoil it allspoiler
I understand, Ash had given me a non spoilered reply to respond to your post lol as I try to avoid too many spoilers before I read/watch/consume anything but yeah um.. I haven't had to say goodbye to friends before as I've never had long term friends, closest I've come to that kind of feeling would be I cut my family out of my life but it wouldn't be quite the same. I mean if I wrote a book on my experieces people probably wouldn't fully understand and have to pull from other experiences and similar things to build a picture, and it would probably not be a particularly pleasant one.
