Few people buy these sort of books to read them. The way these things usually work is wealthy donors buy these books in bulk. Because they’re buying something, not donating to the campaign, it doesn’t go against donation caps. Also, unlike political campaign contributions, there’s also no restriction on who can buy a book, so it’s a way for foreigners to get money to a candidate. Either MTG has gotten a lot of money she shouldn’t have, and doesn’t want to disclose it, or she doesn’t have many rich friends left, and doesn’t want to embarrass herself.

Not to mention that it’s basically through a self-publsiher for the RNC. (Winning team publishing was founded after Trump got rejected by the big publishers on account of fact checking issues in his memoir.)

So she probably paid to have it published and actually lost money on it.

So much winning.

Don't forget, when the rich donors buy these cretins' books, they propel them to the bestseller list without a legitimate copy ever having to be sold or read.

Her fans can’t read so this makes sense.

"Failure to disclose" seems to be quite common amon the MAGA crowd.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has not disclosed profits she made on her latest book — and that could be because she's the book has sold few copies.

Let’s be real, we know some PAC bought enough copies for her to hit that $200 mark

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Oh for sure.

I’m surprised she hired a ghostwriter for it when no one buying it would actually read it though.

Scrutiny!? Whatever will she do? (Tell Fox News she's being persecuted, probably)

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Shouldn't she face prison?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

Can you imagine being in prison and seeing that face?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Why does she always look like she's straining to take a dump?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Because she's full of shit

Her fans don’t read.

She’s absolutely hiding this so people don’t mock her trash sales numbers.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago

They don't sell to readers they buy them up with campaign funds and give them away as a way embezzle money to themselves

Random but I love how every news article about her features that dumb gritting of the teeth thing she has going
