I don't know how everyone else is seemingly indifferent to all the ads everywhere. They really make me a-guy

Having very little ads in my life now, it's crazy when I'm watching TV or YouTube at someone else's house. The quality of the experience is so dreadful. Redbox rentals are gross too, it's like they're punishing you for not pirating.

Getting rid of them is such a huge quality of life improvement. Adblocks aren't enough - we all need to pull a Sao Paulo and ban all advertisements that aren't a tasteful sign with the store's name on it.

I live with my baby boomer dad and the ads on daytime TV are outright predatory.

Lately I've been in a lot of hospitals and offices and stuff dealing with things, and they'll have TVs on here and there, and every time an 8 minute ad break starts I'll look around at the people surrounding me like "...y'all really feel like this shit is acceptable?"

this Northrop Grumman advert takes the cake:

https://youtu.be/GISsou_vaos

also I couldn't find it but there's a similar one with a guy throwing paper balls into an office basket and then figuring out the best way to do it with a flightpath calculation.. And then its a missile company advert.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

People who don’t even recognize they’re being advertised too… watch Century of the Self. They hacked us.
