If he wasn't a fascist I'd say critical support to Elon for fleecing techbros.

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Look if someone bought "Tesla Cyberbeer" they deserve whatever happens to them.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 year ago

Aren't aluminium bottle caps, like cans, supposed to have a clear plastic coating on them to prevent the metal from corroding and reacting with the drink? Did they forget to make the caps with that stuff on them or something?

[–] [email protected] 44 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They did, but with .03 micron tolerances

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 year ago

It's usually only on the inside/bottom of the cap, the part where the drink actually touches the cap

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 year ago

Aluminum also doesn't rust IIRC so idk what's going on here.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago

Beer bottle caps are steel usually - looks like they contracted out a batch of beers and let them sit in bad conditions - also they used a clear bottle which means the beer develops a bunch of off-flavors bc of the light hitting it.

[–] [email protected] 34 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Didn't even call it "Cybeer"

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

SO FUCKING OBVIOUS!

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 year ago

hehe, gottem

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago

$75 beer should come with bottle service. melon-musk ability to grift his base is cheeto-man level

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Trump's going to come after Elon for stealing his shtick.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 year ago

Elon is just if Trump wasn't funny

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Do you also think "Tesla John" is somewhat cringe?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago

Sounds like he cruises for sex workers in his Model Y.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

"why did you drink it?"

because that's the purpose of it????? it's a beverage for consumption??? elon can't do anything right, he can't even make a beer that is drinkable.

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I interpreted it as why would you drink a beer that was in a comprised container and tasted weird.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean it's alcohol, idk how bad it can really be even in a compromised container.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

If you’ve ever heard someone talk about a beer being skunked, they’re referring to it having gone bad. Happens more easily than you’d think and especially with beer, where the Abv isn’t really high

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Skunked beer is from oxidation of hop compounds, not biological spoilage. Beer can be contaminated with undesirable microbes but the dangerous ones can't grow in the low pH and alcoholic (even when it's low abv) environment.

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Forcing yourself to finish what wound up being a terrible investment is incredibly relatable, ngl. Though if it's a bad beer I'd just cook some brats in it, if anything.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's called sunk cost, I suppose...

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Elon said that the Cybertruck is watertight enough to be a small boat. First person to test that is gonna have a real sunk cost on their hands.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Talaga?! Welp, their funeral...

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

They also lost the chance to call it cybeer. Disappointment in so many levels.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lmao you gotta respect elon's grift

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

Idk grifting when you're born into riches just seems overkill. I respect it when you're born poor and you get rich grifting, but Elon couldve done nothing in his entire life and still been rich

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago

as a beer enjoyer, i need to find someone dumb enough to get me a cyberbeer. it sounds truly awful

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hey at least it didn't combust unlike some other tesla products.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

What is rust if not a slow combustion

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

Wait.. They give away alcohol with their vehicle that is illegal to drive when under the influence of alcohol?

Geniuses.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago

my-hero looking into it

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Better than C++ bottle caps at least.
