Listening to altars of madness is making me want a guitar with a floating trem again even though they're a pain in the ass.
If I was to pick up an instrument again I'd probably go bass.
Someone close to me picked up the bass as an adult, they said it was very easy and seemed to really enjoy it.
I learned acoustic guitar initially while also learning the clarinet. But the bass is not that much different from the guitar. Can be a load of fun learning c:

I like the bass, helped fill in some sessions in school when they didn't have a bassist when they were doing recording.
I'm self taught acoustic and electric guitar but the bass would probably be my pick to get back into playing again.
