whining about needles
how the FUCK do i get over my fear of needles for injections.
I've been doing this shit for 4 months at this point and I still cannot do it myself (my girlfriend has injected me every time) and today I cried like a fucking child because i was so frustrated i couldn't do my injection because my anxiety was so high.
I hate this but I don't want to do any other form goddamn it.
Maybe i should switch to subcutaneous from intramuscular but i already have like 5 dozen syringes and filter needles.
God this sucks i feel so stupid
spoiler
lots of adults are scared of needles, I think the fact you've been able to do it for four months is impressive. People are afraid of all kinds of things, it doesn't make you stupid. As someone who was too much of a baby to stick with IM injections I recommend switching to Subq
That's comforting to know. I probably will
subcutaneous is cool get the short tiny 31g insulin one and it wont feel so daunting. You dont have to purchase a box you can ask for a few from the pharmacist just to try.
You should be able to use the same syringes for SubQ, and I would definetly suggest switching as the needle is much smaller. It's not too different from injecting IM, it just adds pinching skin and then injecting at a 45 degree angle into the pinched pocket of skin.
(I donβt even do that tbh)
