folks there were sweet to me and helped me pick out the foundation and concealer that i still use! you will only need to see yourself in the mirror to judge how the foundation looks on your skin. Having worked in retail, we literally do not care and it can brighten one's day to help someone find their first foundation.

I am aware you have been boymoding for a lot longer then I've been cracked. I have struggled my entire life to pursue what I want because of fear though. I know that being quiet and trying to blend in and "keep my head down" has caused me an enormous amount of pain over the years. I have also suffered, even if it wasn't gender feelings at the time. I just want us both to be a bit braver. Even if it ends poorly, at least you tried.

You can pretend you're buying it for your girlfriend and it's not like there's a shortage of cis guys buying makeup, no one will even notice if you boymode during it.
I remember the first time I bought tights. I bought them at Walmart. I couldn't just buy the tights, I had similar fears - omg what if they KNOW somehow. So I bought groceries I didn't need too lol. I went through self-checkout anyway. If you wanna do something like that, just go through a drug store/pharmacy. Pharmacy store brands aren't even bad anymore

Okay, yeah, you can go en femme or boymode. People almost certainly won't care. But I think you'll enjoy it MUCH more if you go as the girl you are. You don't need your cheeks for testing (the inside of your wrist will work) so you can wear a mask.
