I drink a lot of soy milk. Like two gallons a week. It looks like phytoestrogens can interfere with estrogen. Thinking I should switch to oat milk even though I don't like the texture.
Any pharmacology/diet nerds have any thoughts? I messaged my prescriber the same question too and will update if I hear back from her.

I'm just impressed with your soy consumption
Coffee, smoothies, and cereal is most of it. Plus the swig from the container when I'm thirsty and near the fridge.
It's unsweetened so doesn't up my sugar intake.
Oat milk is grainy and I don't like it in my coffee . If I switch to tea I think I would be good with oat milk.
can confirm tea and oat milk is quite good! tho I like it with coffee too
Anectdote... so grain of salt time.
My spouse, with a history of ovarian cysts and endometriosis, as much as she loves tofu had to pretty much cut it out of her diet because there was a very strong correlation between her eating a bunch of soy based foods and having a flare up.
She could kinda manage it if she could limit consumption of soy stuff to certain times of the month, though I can't remember the specific details off the top of my head.
Also interested since I consume the same amount. Still far less than the like 4 gallons/week of bovine milk I used to consume a long time ago. Oatmilk is alright, but seems like it would be more expensive and have less of some nutrients I want and more of what I don't want.
That’s a lot. I mostly just have almond milk in baked goods lol. I appreciate oatmilk’s texture, but not so much the taste. Not too familiar with soy.
The unsweetened unflavored soy I like. The sugary vanilla shit is good in smoothies but otherwise don't like it.
It’s not like I have that many smoothies, but when I do I use cashew(?) yogurt and soy ice “cream,” and juice.
Skimming through that and seeing
And having to reread a couple of times
Yeah, some of the language is really interesting. I'm not used to seeing comrade show up in research papers!
I like oat milk, but dont really drink a lot of it. I would mainly have it with cereal/muesli
I drink my hot drinks black
Never had soy milk..
