My skin is so irritated from shaving badlyI need to get better at skincare stuff but so much of it feels like dubious marketing shit instead of having some kinda dermatological scientific basis and seems like a slippery slope where getting into it gets really expensive in a hurry if you end up with a multi step routine with a bunch of different products
The only thing I do is apply moisturizer after shaving/epilating.
tfw no epilator
I should look up how expensive laser would be for me, I'm sick of this, I have like the worst combo of hair type and skin sensitivity and practically everything dries out and irritates my skin
I use a light aloe store brand body lotion that is $4 for 600ml
Always try to get a light lotion, it won't clog pores and it's fast drying. Can use it on face and body so a little goes a long way
Nice, I'll check that out
Idk why but the skincare and shaving stuff aisles in stores and makeup/beauty section always kinda intimidate me? Feels silly but it's like sensory overload and I get option paralysis and frequently think after I buy something that I should've chosen something else
You can over pay for a load of stuff but I haven't really had much difference in resilts from more expensive products compared to cheaper stuff.
Lotons don't seem to vary that much either so I don't see the point of buying atuff that is usually more expensive.
I'm weird about spending money on "personal" stuff for some reason, idk. I'm either frugal to the point of asking myself if I'm being too cheap and buying something crappy and getting ripped off, or want The Best (Thing) if it's something important to me and overpay for something and justify to myself by saying "well, I'm pretty ascetic overall normally so why not splurge a little on something I'll actually enjoy" lol
Yeah I tend to be fairly frugal. I only spend more if I feel a product is worth it. I also only spend when I need something.
I generally buy as I need things overall, I'll always look to save money too.
Ingrown hairs or otherwise? I have this problem also
Dry skin and flaking, mostly on the face
