definitely! I have some very long playlists too. I like the challenge of getting the flow right for shorter ones and definitely like making them for people too
As someone who sucks at making playlists.... How do you¹ make a good playlist? (Part of my problem is that I dont listen to a lot of music anymore, but im working on changing that!)
¹specifically you, not the general you. Sorry i realized after commenting that my tone and inflection is not, in fact, carried through text 😅
hmm I definitely start with a theme in mind. sometimes it's just a pile of new music for the month, sometimes channeling a certain vibe. I really like making playlists flow like an album too, so that's sometimes my only goal
as far as new music, I follow a lot of artist on soundcloud and spotify and routinely check for recommended if you like artists. it is one of those things where not paying attention for a month means suddenly you've missed a lot of releases, be it bigger releases or even interesting throwaways. one thing I like doing on spotify is finding a song I like and going to song radio. that brings up a lot of similar artists that I wouldn't have found otherwise
Ooh ok, thank you! I havent actively followed an artist since i was in HS, i guess i need to go back to that lol
