Xenia, the fox girl mascot of Linux, was first designed in 1996 by Alan Mackey. She was meant to be an alternative to Tux, the official mascot.

She had fallen into obscurity, but was noticed by a Twitter user in 2019 and was redrawn as a fox girl. But as it turned out, Xenia was originally meant to be male! The original creator, Alan, was cool with this, saying "It matches the transition of a lot of the smartest, nerdiest Linux users I know" and "And sure, you made her trans!".

So now we have a trans Linux mascot. And I think that's neat.

Also, in the Burgerreich, some other places, there are sketchy "Bitcoin ATMs" all over that don't require an ID, take cash

Had more written but, you know

oh yeah i used one of those my first time. i don't think they have them here but i lived in london at the time.

it's a good shout. i think i found the experience of going outside to be not worth it and just focused on obscuring the link between the legal bitcoin purchase and the darknet purchase. but other people go outside more than me so like yeah

The trading platforms work too, I've done the ID verification thing before too it's just a lot more frustrating and time consuming ime and you have to do it multiple times cuz trading platforms are always collapsing lol. Ofc what scares me about either way is the Bitcoin ledger being completely open and all transactions being visible cuz of... privacy concerns

Going from cryptocurrency-to-cryptocurrency on the sites is easier too ime, so if you have Bitcoin already you can have a lot more privacy if you choose to invest your money in Monero perhaps

i get mine from kraken, it's been around from a while. they actually do sell XMR, but not to europeans so i just get bitcoin there. yeah the ledger is a problem, but i only use bitcoin for hormones because like, they don't really care about them. for actual darknet purchases i convert the bitcoin to xmr which breaks the link. more fees of course, but it's extremely difficult for me to get XMR directly
