Democracy is when the government does the exact opposite of the will of the people and you have to vote because this is the most important election of our lives.

[–] [email protected] 64 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Gotta save democracy, you see

[–] [email protected] 52 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I was thinking about how "the ends don't justify the means" gets thrown around as obvious wisdom, but to the dems their fake democracy is an end unto itself and any means are justified. And not even democracy in the sense of the will of the people being enacted, but their electoral system and it's trappings.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 4 months ago

angry-place i say we destroy democracy and see what happens

[–] [email protected] 88 points 4 months ago (5 children)

holy shit how often do you get a 100% on a poll??

[–] [email protected] 82 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

You don’t. If you asked 100 people if they wanted you to hit them in the head with a hammer, 97 would say no, a couple would get confused and say yes, and at least one of them would get horny and ask what kind of hammer. 100% support/opposition to something is mind-boggling.

[–] [email protected] 73 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

Or even a 93%

AND the 0% for strongly approve

The establishment reaction to overwhelming democratic consensus on this issue is indefensible. It's not something you can wait out like an economy, it's gonna weigh heavy on a whole generation

[–] [email protected] 53 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Uh, akshually sweaty, any vote results higher than 80% indicate the vote was tampered with, probably by the russians smug-aura-mocks-me

[–] [email protected] 30 points 4 months ago

100 is a very rare number so it was fabricated

[–] [email protected] 22 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

This is exactly why even Kamala Harris is doing her half-assed distancing maneuvers. Leaking that it's "Joe's war"

She wants to be the president (my first reaction to that is to laugh but uh, our president is Biden right now so I wouldn't count her out unfortunately) and she fully understands that:

  • Joe Biden is the absolute high point for Israel support in the Democratic party
  • Liberal media will forgive her relative silence because a VP being loyal to the President is paramount in their minds
  • She nonetheless desperately needs to disassociate herself from this, and is hoping to make up for this liability by doing some kind of last-minute bandwagon jumping onto pro-palestinian rhetoric and possibly actions depending on where this all takes us.
  • She can claim to have worked on the inside to temper the bloodthirstiness, as if we hadn't heard that before

It should stick to her though. We need to make this stick to her.

I've literally never seen it on political polling, and I used to be a poll following lib

Joe Biden truly is an unprecedented loser

[–] [email protected] 32 points 4 months ago

This is obviously the work of US election Russian interference by Putler himself.

I don’t think I have literally ever seen a 100% in a political poll

[–] [email protected] 72 points 4 months ago (2 children)

I have seen it once. A few years ago in poll of people living in the areas of Germany that used to be a part of the GDR, IIRC the pollsters could not find even one woman under 30 who believed in God.

[–] [email protected] 42 points 4 months ago

I don't think I've ever seen 100% on a poll of any significant size, ever.

You won't get 100% on "does gravity exist?" or "are you breathing air right now?"

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

I remember seeing something similar for the EFF in South Africa, apparently they had a 0% approval rating amongst Indian South Africans.

[–] [email protected] 72 points 4 months ago

0 percent

100 percent

holy shit

[–] [email protected] 49 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Genocide Joe is doing everything in his power to lose this November

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago

Critical support to the funniest election outcome. Trump wins but a bunch of based people get voted into congress so dems have the embarassment of losing to Trump twice but progressives stop all the project 2025 shit and prove to dems once and for all that they should stop trying to avoid courting progressives.

Stop laughing, I can dream, can't I?

Data was collected from March 23-25, 2024. The sample consisted of n=322 registered Wisconsin voters who had voted in at least one primary since 2016, with a margin of error of +/- 5.0%. Within the sample, we included all those who said they would vote in the Democratic primary (n=258) and undecided voters (n=64). Data was collected via SMS-to-web. Results were weighted by age based on census data, previous polling, and exit polling.

2024 election map is going to look like 1984 (the election results, not the orwell book) and twitter libs are going to place the blame solely on communists on the internet

[–] [email protected] 39 points 4 months ago

holy SHIT biden is more fucked than anyone in uspol has ever been fucked

[–] [email protected] 38 points 4 months ago

just under half of democrats in the state strongly or even somewhat approve of Bidens handling of the war.

65 percent said they strongly disapprove

0 percent strongly approved

[–] [email protected] 35 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I would not have expected Wisconsin to be this based

[–] [email protected] 20 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Wisconsin is pretty based.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 4 months ago (2 children)

parts of madison and milwaukee are based, the rest of the state is white liberal to barely concealed nazism.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago

That's fair, but as far as US cities go Madison and Milwaukee do stand out.

If those kids could vote they'd be very upset.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 4 months ago (1 children)

honestly a difference of this size, among people of the same party, can't be explained by anything other than these two groups having two completely different sources of information

now we get why america is starting to think about getting rid of any social media that is harder to build a consensus with, they're simply not able to manage them as easily as traditional news sources

i'm pretty sure america is gonna build its own "great firewall" in the next years, brick by brick

Is this saying "just under half" is 35%?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 months ago

The "just under half" includes all ages (I clicked through to the poll from the article):

Respondents are very divided on Biden’s handling of the war, with just 49% saying they strongly or somewhat approve of the job he is doing in the area. 41% of respondents somewhat or strongly disapprove of Biden’s handling of the war, and 10% are undecided. This is starkly polarized by age: no respondents under 29 say that they strongly approve of Biden’s handling of the war, and 65% strongly disagree with it. Compare this to respondents 50-64 years old, who tend to side with Biden (59% are strongly or somewhat supportive of his actions) while just 7% strongly disapprove of his actions.

I doubt Uninstructed will see the biggest numbers, but Wisconsin is often conservative along the apathetic lines.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 months ago

Last I heard it was at 8 or 9 percent. Not quite as good as Michigan but still a fantastic result. Another swing state looming over him. Even before tonight I have heard confident claims that they are panicking over uncommitted/etc. It's the only thing affecting this outcome, however slowly

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

Biden could easily win if he just did the following:

  • Stop funding Ukraine & Israel's wars. They're like the only thing both dems and the GOP agree on. I never felt more vindicated when a CHUD cousin during thanksgiving said "you were right about Palestine."

  • I know he doesn't have party whip like you see in Parliamentary systems, but endorse the 4-day work week bill

  • Did anything about the economy....like at all. Implement a land value tax to rein in house prices, cancel debt or make community-college tuition free, restore the government-run grocery store. I'm not picky.

Please democrats, hire me as a campaign strategist.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago

You forgot descheduling weed. Literally one pen stroke and he's pretended like he's for it but just hasn't been able to get it through. Lying POS just likes mass incarceration exactly as it is. Pisses me off to no end seeing libs jump through hoops explaining how he's too busy to do the 1 pen stroke it takes to deschedule weed.

The Democrats are doing a spin where they're trying to say a Palestinian genocide is simply going to happen, but voting for Biden can maybe stop a LGBTQ genocide. It's the weirdest posture I've ever seen them adopt in my lifetime. They're so hopeless they can't even pretend they'll stop Israel or that they even care

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

If your argument is "sure we abandoned that vulnerable minority and have decided were ok with them being genocide but we'd never do that to you." You really ought to actually do something that doesn't make it incredibly obvious that's a fucking lie.

The concept of solidarity is literally co.pletely foreign to the liberal. Selling out somebody else for personal benefit is literally the best they can come up with because it's all they know.

"Sure we're genociding Palestinians but we're willing to say the same thing shouldn't happen to Trans people" can turn into "sure we're genociding trams people but we're willing to say the same thing shouldn't happen to gay people" and then "sure we're genociding gay people but we're willing to say the same shouldn't happen to racial minorities" in like 2 elections.

"Were fine with genocide as long as it means we win elections" is not the unifying message they thi k it is.

The democrats are so unserious. This whole country is unserious.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 months ago

Deeply unserious marx-guns-blazing
