AuDHD here, I don't resonate with all autistic experiences but autism is a pretty broad spectrum and can encompass wildly different experiences, including contradictory ones. For example I don't get a lot of sensory overload from loud or busy environments, in fact I actually kind of enjoy them and I think that might be some of the ADHD. However I do get social overload very easily and find myself constantly needing to spend hours alone on personal projects in order to recharge. This is just one example, there's a lot more out there. Hoping for the best for your self-discovery journey.

I'm the same way. Like I would go to metal shows in smaller venues and the lights and on-stage performance and deep bass so loud that I could feel it in my chest and the frantic energy of the crowd and everything together was just an amazing sensory experience. But if ask my autistic partner how they feel, they said that sounds like their worst nightmare. I also maybe get a kind of social overload in groups, like 1 on 1 I'm usually pretty good but the second it's more people I start to tune out and kinda I dunno surf along on the waves of others conversations? And at the time I'm feel like I'm maybe doing okay but then I also just need to avoid people for a while to recharge. Yet I still seek it out even through I'm terrible at participating? I dunno at the same I feel like that's more of an ADHD thing. But I guess it could be both? Too much overlap stalin-stressed

Hoping for the best for your self-discovery journey.

Appreciate it trans-heart

It’s actually pretty common for autistic people to be sensory seekers instead of sensory avoiders or to be a combination of both so liking metal shows like that might actually be an autism thing

wowee I had no idea. I've only known sensory avoiders

I tend to jump to assuming similarity too quickly, but I think I’m the same way. I get just as confused about this stuff whenever I do, I just took a break from pondering it.
