Watching vox pops from people in Taiwan saying they don't want to fight to maintain their 'lauded' status as the US unsinkable aircraft carrier in East Asia.

Seeing Ryukyu (Okinawan) students singing Chinese resistance songs and protesting the US occupation of their islands. Seeing the Serbian reception to Xi Jinping's visit, and the reception that some Chinese streamers had in Syria and of this Iraqi food vlogger called 老王 in China makes me hopeful that it's just the Anglosphere which is poisoned against China but that shit doesn't stick.

On an interpersonal level, seeing my brother's kids grow up happy and healthy with enthusiasm for the world, brimming with silly energy and wonder for simple things like learning how to dribble a soccer ball or learning about animals.

Just ordered HRT and supplies for the first time! Also got some girly clothes and I'm looking at options for starter makeup sets to practice more. I thought I'd have more doubts about making the decision, but no. Everything I think of seems to confirm it. It feels absolutely right and I feel more hopeful and excited than I've felt in longer than I can remember. I'm also extremely happy that I have some very cool and supportive online friends, and of course supportive spaces like this.
