Perfect. I've always thought the biggest problem with my Xbox controller is that it's too easy for its speed and heading to be ascertained by U-boats.

this is a deep cut joke for very specific enthusiasts of 1910s experimental naval warfare

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 month ago

This is hexbear, whatever life choices led any of us here definitely included learning about dazzle camoflage

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

i mean i learned about the 1910s experimental naval warfare at the same time as reading about the effectiveness of different techniques for confounding facial recognition

and it works for the xbox controller, too. i can't tell who it is!

Is it because homophobia or because it's a migraine-inducing aesthetic eyesore?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 month ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

I do too but not gonna give Corp money for it, if I saw that hand painted or something hell yeah it kind of slaps

[–] [email protected] 41 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Homophobes are so ridiculous. This is the quietest, most personal expression of Pride I could imagine and they're still offended by it...

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

They'd make for ideal superstitious peasants.

"What is this symbol of Moorish devilry?"

"John it's a horseshoe."

"That is the crescent of the Mohammadan!"

[–] [email protected] 33 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Thats hideous... that design is bordering on homophobic 😭

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago

nah, it has a certain neurodivergent je ne sais quoi. I really like it

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 month ago (1 children)

My thoughts exactly. Why couldn't they just make a trans flag colored controller, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

because they're trying to appeal to more queer people in a cynical attempt to dive into our wallets

it's ok though it still looks cool

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I have this controller and everyone who sees it in person thinks it's dope. It's a really chaotic design, but it works way better in person than it does in images.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

White background and head-on lighting washing out the colors probably aren't doing it any favors in this image

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago

Yeah. In person, it's really fun and looks great in hand or on the coffee table.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 month ago

Dazzle paint reduces the contrast of the controller when viewed from the surface or the air from its surroundings as well as the contrast of one section of the controller from another

Honestly I like how it looks but I'm also the one sporting all the eye searing animated rainbow dyes in Terraria

Ah, brings back memories as someone who was perpetually player 2. For me it was always the clear blue madcatz or a Logitech with massive stick drift. At least when I was at my cousin's we took turns with the good controller lol

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago

I mean sometimes the mad cats slapped hard and WERE the good controller, being able to set a button to turbo instead of having to rapidly button mash. I remember it would suck depending on the car for burnout revenge when you were trying to cause as big of an accident (tapping that B button to splode[Xbox]) as possible, but would be fine for enter the matrix for the pew pews, I'm sure it'd be fine for other games too just didn't have many.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

ah yes because a too brightly colored gay controller is definitely equivalent to one that is nonfunctional /s

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 month ago

That’s pretty snazzy.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

i'm sorry but that looks like dogwater. way too busy and confused

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

you can have your opinion but I want you to know that as long as you phrase it as objective it's wrong

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 month ago

Proud G*mer not afraid to stand up to the gays ruining HIS games.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago

If a "friend" walks into my house and wants to torch my whole place after seeing this controller, I'll make sure to dump their body in another town.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 month ago

Does it come in DualShock 3?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Whenever I look at an xbox controller I feel like it was designed FOR american hands, I cannot see my thumbs on those analogs

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 month ago

Our hands evolved like giraffe necks so that we could wield triple patty burgers

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago

I think this controller is rad and it's twice as rad if it annoys gamers

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I bet it costs $140 and isn't even hall effect. I'd totally buy it if it was gulikit though.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It will develop some problem after exactly 16 months of medium usage and fixing it will involve soldering or plastic cement of some form.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

and are we really pretending this wouldn't happen with every Xbox controller

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

That's why the joke is being made. Xbox controllers have no durability and potentiometers found on the side of the rode.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I'm criticizing it being an XBOX controller and not the skin, yeah. I hate XB1/series controllers for how poorly they're built.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 month ago (1 children)

In the communist dystopia we seek to attain, if somebody made a post like that they would be shot in the head by the GayGB within twenty minutes.

:waow-based:

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

in todays episode of things that only become talked about because rejecting them is a way to tacitly endorse bigotry

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

if you react to this controller violently:

  1. look at the OP the person responded to. they've got the Palestine flag and the reply guy doesn't, meaning the OP is immediately more trustworthy. Ask yourself why an explicit comrade person would have the opinion they have, and why the person who isn't would have theirs.

  2. Ask yourself if you would react the same way to any other shitty controller.

  3. If you wouldn't, kindly gamer-gulag yourself until you stop falling for sacrificial trash

  4. The actual OP is right and the controller goes super fucking hard. They should have paid that artist more money.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

I didn't even realize it was a pride controller at first. People worried about Xbox controller art are idiots.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

This would only be an acceptable response if it was a MadKatz controller. The coloring doesn't matter.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That controller is the kind if garish I can get behind.

Can you use these things as general-purpose Bluetooth controllers?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Since the Xbox One, yeah. I've never owned an Xbox but I've had several of the controllers just because they're the kind you can get with paddles on the back. I installed Linux without any planning or thought and to my surprise it just worked even outside Windows

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

Nice. Rainbow capitalism might claim me as a casualty soon then.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Love the flag, looks like shit on the controller

Doing the same thing except because it's got poor build quality and they should have bought an 8bitdo controller with hall effect sticks for equal or less price.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Ban bideo games.
